Mile Marker 1: Just Keep Going

Sometimes the hardest part of a journey isn’t how far we have to go. It’s finding the strength to take the next step.

I learned something about that while running hills. There were times when the heat was overwhelming, my legs were tired, and all I wanted to do was stop. The top of the hill seemed impossibly far away.

But I didn’t have to conquer the entire hill at once. I only had to keep moving forward.

I’ve discovered that life with God can be much the same. We don’t always know what’s waiting around the next bend. We don’t always understand why the road is so difficult. And sometimes we simply don’t feel strong enough.

Yet God’s grace meets us right where we are, even when all we can manage is one more step.

You don’t have to see the top of the hill to keep climbing.

Whatever hill you’re facing today, don’t lose hope. The road may be difficult, but you’re not walking it alone.
